Gates Open at: 6:45pm. Tours start every ten minutes, and each tour is approximately 60 minutes long.
Explore Tampa’s 19th century living history museum by night. Along the way, meet storytellers who will spin wild yarns about a few of Florida’s unexplained oddities! A little scary, a little funny and always family friendly, the Tall Tales tour is a Florida history adventure by lantern light.
Tour Length: 60 minutes
Age: Not recommended for children under 6 years old
General Pricing: $15 per person. All tickets include a festive snack and drink.
Parking: Enter the Fairgrounds via MLK Parking Entrance and park near Gate 2. $10.00 per car. $16.00 per RV/Bus/Oversized vehicles.

A guide will greet you at the gate and lead you through historic structures and grounds by lantern light. At each stop a story teller will share a Florida tall tale. Enjoy seasonal decorations and Victorian games while waiting for your tour to begin.

Tour Times:
Tours will start every 10 minutes between 7:00 and 9:30pm. When purchasing a ticket online, select your tour starting time. Tours are approximately 1 hour in length.

After your tour, enjoy a snack (included with your admissions ticket) and a visit to the General Store.

Hear stories of heroes, monsters, and oddities.

Magic Lantern
One of your tour stops will be a magic lantern show. Learn about a turn-of-the-20th-century projection technology that led to the birth of the film industry. Hear and see a tale of pirates and ghosts on the “silver screen”.

There are lots of unique holiday gifts to be found at the General Store! The store features nostalgic and reproduction items, historical toys and games, books, candy, and many other unique gift items.

The General Store accepts cash, Visa, Master Card, and personal checks with ID.

Proceeds from sales in the General Store help support Cracker Country's educational field trip programs.

Your admission to Tall Tales includes a snack.

Pets are not allowed in Cracker Country.

Service animals are allowed, as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or animals approved as part of an exhibition.
Service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability.   
Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Bring a blanket and picnic under our live oak trees while sketching our historic buildings. Join in on our art workshops designed for visitors of all skills. Then visit our historic buildings and discover Florida's rural history. Art workshops are designed for visitors 6 years old or older. Younger learners are welcome to attend and test out their coloring skills. Don't forget to bring a camera to tackle our photography challenges.
