About the Event

About the Event

Date: October 20, 2018
Time: 6pm-10pm

Come visit for an evening in rural Florida. A guide will greet you at the gate and lead you through our historic structures by lantern light. At each stop a story teller will share a Florida tall tale. Come early and enjoy the harvest games and decor while you wait for your tour to begin.

Tour Length: 60 minutes
Age: Not recommended for children under 6 years old
General Pricing: $10 per person
Parking: Enter the Fairgrounds via MLK Parking Entrance and park near Gate 2. $8.00 per car. $15 bus or RV. Parking is cash only.

Sign up for a lantern lit tour and hear Southern stories from long ago.

Tour Times:
Tours will start every 10 minutes between 6:20-7:00pm, 7:00pm-8:00pm, and 8pm-9pm. When purchasing a ticket online, select a ticket with the time starting range of your preference. Tours are approximately 1 hour in length. There will be harvest games and decor for you to enjoy while you wait for your tour to begin.
Finish off your tour with a special fall treat and a visit to the General Store.

Magic Lantern
During one of the stops of your tour, enjoy a magic lantern show. A narrator will tell you a tale of pirates and ghosts in a show exhibiting turn-of-the-century technology.

There are lots of unique holiday gifts to be found at the General Store! The store features nostalgic and reproduction items, historical toys and games, books, candy, and many other unique gift items.

The General Store accepts cash, Visa, Master Card, and personal checks with ID.

Proceeds from sales in the General Store help support Cracker Country's education programs.

Pets are not allowed in Cracker Country.

Service animals are allowed, as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or animals approved as part of an exhibition.
Service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability.   
Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
