The Church was originally built in the 1900s in Gretna, Florida, located in Gadsden County. The structure is built of heart pine lumber and served as a one room schoolhouse until 1946. In that year, the Holy Ghost Church was destroyed by fire, and this building served as a replacement. Visitors can come in, and take a seat on the original pine benches and imagine what a service may have been like in the early days of rural Florida. |
